My steps for a productive work session:
  1. Sound - This can be different for everyone. Some people want complete silence, others might do well hearing the background noises of a coffee shop. Experiment and figure out what's best for you! For me, it's listening to chill music in my headphones.

  2. Surroundings - Find a place without distractions. I've found I work best at my desk at home or at a coffee shop because it forces me to be productive. At coffee shops, I feel like I can work with other eyes keeping me accountable. This tells my brain to remain productive without scrolling through social media or finding another thing to do.

  3. Positive Reinforcement - Get your favorite snacks or drinks and keep it nearby!

  4. Clean Workspace - Try not to clutter your desk with excess papers, gadgets, etc. A clean space really does equal a clear mind!

  5. Physical To-Do List - I always have my planner with me and write out each of my items, even if I do have an online checklist too. Having my list written out in front of me has been really helpful to keep me focused and motivated to cross the next item off it.
